Activity Overview:
Much has changed and much of this change is likely to persist as we move through the current pandemic and into what has been called the “New Normal”. Remote work and social distancing have become something many of us have had to deal with. One way to decrease the disruption caused by social distancing and remote work is to employ technologies that assist in communication and collaboration with our co-workers. For some in healthcare, these tools might be completely new but have made their way into our daily lives. This course is a short and quick introduction to the Zoom cloud-based communication platform that has gained popularity in many business sectors. For those completely new to this platform, this course was developed as a gentle introduction.

Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the learner will be able to:
・Describe what the Zoom platform is and how it can be used for remote communication and collaboration.
・Set up an account on the Zoom platform serving as an example of the process for most of the Cloud-based communication tools.
・Define steps required both for participating in and hosting a remote meeting from a high-level.
・Differentiate the various and numerous ways Zoom and similar tools can and are being used in healthcare.
