Summary:

These are tough times for people of all races, religions, ethnic groups, etc.  A lot of emotions and anger are spilling out, and many people are struggling to understand how to interact with others who are different from them.  This video module course will help learners navigate these interactions in an empathetic and intelligent fashion that best serves patients, families, and physicians.  Moreover, learners will begin to appreciate the long and troubled history of American medicine and African Americans and, thus, understand why African Americans mistrust American medicine, including the COVID-19 vaccines.  The goal of the course is to empower learners to embrace interactions with different people and strengthen relationships between clinicians and their patients and families.
