Activity Overview:
Many comparisons have been made between the current COVID-19 Pandemic and Influenza. This course provides an overview of the infectious agents responsible for these two diseases, as well as, highlighting the similarities and differences. It is dangerous to accept comparisons where none exists, this lecture is meant to provide some background and allow you to better put things into perspective as will learn more and work our way through this worldwide crisis.

Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the learner will be able to:
・Describe the differences and similarities between the etiologic agent for influenza and COVID-19
・Compare and contrast the similarities between influenza and SARS-CoV-2 Pandemics
・List the symptoms of Influenza and COVID-19 and how these are not enough to reliably exclude or diagnose either disease.
